What Bob-Sledding and Corelle Have in Common

Corelle dishware has many redeeming qualities. As the Corelle website puts it: "But one thing everybody agrees on is durability. Dinnerware needs to last." Corelle is lightweight, stack-able, dishwasher-safe, inexpensive and break-resistant. But unfortunately, like bones in bobsledding, Corelle doesn't break. No, no, no. It shatters.

Awesome post. I just had this conversation with Suzie Petunia; she had a corelle bowl shatter a week or so ago, and I had a plate shatter like a year ago, but I still remember. They don't break very often, but when they do, they really go for it! No super glue fixes here!
This rocks my world.
